Brian's Quote
"It's great that you can download music from your favorite artist or your favorite song, in good quality. It's great that new artists can get exposure through downloading music. But, hopefully there will be ways to make it more convenient for artists as well as audiences so that people won't have to steal and that neither the artists nor their audiences will have to end up on the short end of the stick."

Bio
Brian Vickers is a 21-year-old student from Birmingham, Ala., who is currently a junior and Vocal Jazz major at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Brian has been a music fan for a very long time and began singing in his church choir at the age of four. Growing up, he sang in multiple choirs and ended up singing everything from classical music to gospel music in later years. Brian's taste in music is diverse and broad; he always jokes that his mom would always have him listen to gospel and his dad always had him listening to jazz. On his own, Brian picked up listening to soul, neo-soul, and R&B. Brian has a deep appreciation for all styles of music.
Because music influenced Brian's life so much, he chose to major in music during college. He hopes that upon graduating, he will be able to perform and produce his own music and music for other artists.
Brian thinks that nowadays, computers make everything easier, including finding, acquiring, and discovering music. He says, "It's great that you can download music from your favorite artist or your favorite song in good quality. It's great that new artists can get exposure through downloading music. But, hopefully there will be ways to make it more convenient for artists as well as fans so that people won't have to steal and neither the artists nor the fans will have to end up with the short end of the stick."
